MATHEMATICS, GCSE, A LEVELS

I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with a background in Mathematics and Finance. My journey in education began at Twyford C of E High School, where I completed my A-Levels in Mathematics, Economics, and Psychology. I then pursued a degree in Mathematics and Finance at City University London, successfully completing my studies before immediately undertaking my PGCE at Brunel University London.

Since qualifying as a teacher, I have worked in three different schools across London, gaining valuable experience in delivering high-quality mathematics education.

In addition to my teaching experience, I took a career break to work as a buyer for an eCommerce company for a couple of years. This role allowed me to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and business skills, which I now incorporate into my teaching to make lessons more practical and relevant to real-world applications.

Teaching Experience

Since completing my PGCE in 2010, I have taught at three schools in London. My experience spans a wide range of age groups, from Year 7 to Year 13, allowing me to develop a flexible and adaptive teaching style. In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive tutoring experience, providing personalised support to students of varying abilities, over my 15-year teaching career.

Interests

I am passionate about making Mathematics and related subjects accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for all students. My teaching style focuses on building a strong foundation of understanding, boosting confidence, and equipping students with the problem-solving skills they need to succeed!
