Ben
Maths 11+, GCSE, A-Level
I grew up in Dorset where I attended Sherborne School and studied Maths, Further Maths, Business Studies and Religious Studies as A-Levels. Then, I moved to the University of Bristol where I studied Accounting and Management BSc and graduated with 2nd Class Honours. I worked for 2 years in an Ark Academy in South London, before moving to Myanmar, in South East Asia to work for a Nord Anglia British school. At this time, I enrolled in a Mathematics BSc degree through the Open University. After 2 years abroad, I returned to London and have been working at one of the leading UK independent schools as the KS3 coordinator, UCS in Hampstead.
Teaching Experience
I have been tutoring maths for 15 years and professionally teaching maths for 7 years. From an academy in South London, to an Asian international school, and finally an independent school in Hampstead, I have experience in working with all types of students of a wide range of abilities. I have practised tutoring and teaching online and in person over many years and know how to support and stretch across the KS3 – 5 curriculums. I have written the 11+ assessment for UCS for the last 3 years, as well as facilitating numerous maths competitions.
