I was exclusively trained by the Twyford Trust as a School’s Direct Trainee and as a result, I was exposed to phenomenal training in all aspects of teaching, finishing the programme graded as an outstanding practitioner. I was presented with the exciting and unique opportunity of joining a brand-new school called William Perkin C of E High School which was opened by Twyford Trust. Being involved in developing the curriculum from scratch allowed me to grow a deep knowledge of the curriculum and become an expert lesson planner. I have also worked as an examiner for the AQA exam board. This not only gave me an insight into how examiners award marks, but it also showed me common misconceptions which I have used to inform my teaching practice.

I graduated with a First-Class Degree in Mathematics with Economics from the University of Sussex. I also have a  Master’s degree in Data Science at King’s College London which has taught me to use programming as a tool to apply maths in order to solve problems in real life. In a technologically evolving world, this additional skill will be very useful.
