I grew up in Australia and completed my tertiary education at the University of Sydney, where I gained two degrees: a Masters of Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts. Since living in the United Kingdom, I have taught in a range of schools teaching the full spectrum of students, including the more able students, students who struggle and/ or have special education needs.

Teaching Experience

I am an experienced English Language and Literature teacher with over 15 years experience. I teach KS3-KS5 (years 7 through 13) using a variety of teaching and learning strategies adapted to suit individual needs. I have taught in a range of schools and have experience in a variety of teaching and learning roles. Effective learning requires clear learning objectives, a series of scaffolded learning tasks and regular, specific feedback. I adapt the lessons and strategies to fit the student's needs and believe a pupil learns more effectively when engaged through interesting, relevant and accessible tasks. I have widespread experience tutoring students 1:1 or in small groups. I am a clear, supportive and kind tutor who holds high standards for all her students.
