Through the years, I have tutored at various levels to different age groups from A-level students (Biology and Chemistry) to 11+ students, however I specialise in A-level Chemistry. For the last few years, I have worked with my students to increase their grades in Biology and Chemistry by two levels with the majority of my students obtaining A or A* at A Level.  I work with my tutees to ensure that they are equipped with the correct subject knowledge and the right examination techniques to achieve their highest potential.  In September, having fallen in love with teaching through my tutoring experience,  I will be starting my official teaching qualification with The Harris Federation, specialising in Chemistry.

As a tutor, I follow a structured approach: a study schedule, weekly testing and plenty of exam practice. Mindset is of paramount importance to me:  it is not what my pupils think but also why they think that. My approach is to encourage students to take a step back: think, understand and have fun. I provide concise revision notes for each topic to consolidate their learning and ensure the curriculum is taught in depth.  However, I also pay attention to the development of a wider set of skills such as analytical and critical thinking skills to give my tutees a solid standing at university level.
