Maths, 11+, GCSE, A Level, Common Entrance

Having graduated with an ‘Outstanding’ in my PGCE from the University of Bristol, I completed my NQT year at The King’s School, Gloucester.   I also have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching Advanced Mathematics at the University of Warwick. I have been teaching Mathematics for 14 years now and have been Head of Sixth Form for the 300 16-18 year-old students at the King’s School, Worcester for the past four years.

Since then, I have helped hundreds of students with 11+ grammar school preparation, IGCSE exams and A Level examinations with outstanding results and a caring and empathetic approach at the heart of all I do. I encourage my students to understand why concepts work, enabling deep understanding. Developing an attitude of mistakes being opportunities for growth underpins the one-to-one work in Mathematics that I so enjoy, enabling students’ confidence to flourish.

Before studying for a degree in Economics at the University of Nottingham, I played semi-professional rugby in New Zealand for a year.
